PTS-Prüftechnik works as a development and testing service provider, collaborating with customers on innovative solutions for various drive technologies, including full electrification, hybrid drives, and fuel cell technology.
The focus is on improving components and complete systems to increase their lifespan, optimize energy consumption during operation, and reduce emissions. The development service provider, headquartered in Waldstetten, anchors its sustainable corporate philosophy under the brand claim "Green Testing." This approach is consistently implemented at all seven locations, starting with sourcing from environmentally certified suppliers to intelligent energy management for testing facilities. In addition to using green electricity, the company annually sources 750 megawatt-hours from its own photovoltaic systems, which is enough to supply around 200 households per year. The waste heat from the testing facilities is also efficiently used to heat or cool the buildings, while buffer batteries store excess electricity and relieve the grid. Furthermore, the company's vehicles are mostly electric, with the fast-charging stations also being publicly accessible. Through these comprehensive "Green Testing" measures, PTS-Prüftechnik was able to save more than 3,000 tons of CO2 in the past fiscal year, bringing them a significant step closer to their vision of CO2-neutral development and testing.

PTS-Prüftechnik GmbH, with 240 employees, offers testing, simulation, and development for start elements, powertrain systems, components, and cooling circuits in the automotive and non-automotive sectors. The company operates two plants at its centrally located headquarters in Waldstetten. In addition to branches in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Wolfsburg, and Ingolstadt, the center for electromobility in Remshalden near Stuttgart was officially opened last year.
