EMAG in Heubach not only continuously harmonizes its processes at the site, but also with its sister companies. Thanks to employee involvement and open communication, it becomes part of the whole, without denying its roots.
At the EMAG site in Heubach, the technologies Laser and ECM (Electrochemical Machining) are established. EMAG LaserTec supplies systems for laser welding of gearbox components as well as for the drive train of both conventional and electric vehicles. ECM delivers, among other things, machines and processes for machining engine parts for the aviation industry. To better integrate their strengths at the site (LaserTec and ECM) and across other locations, EMAG's sister companies have been participating in the "One EMAG" program since 2021. This harmonizes corporate cultures and aligns actions toward common results: the exchange and collaboration among employees, the production of IoT-capable products, one-stop solutions, and responsibility in the context of mobility and climate change, energy transition, and poverty reduction. This is communicated transparently, openly, and understandably, such as in webinars with the management or department heads (called Spotlights) or with current updates in the intranet. Regular employee surveys gather needs and show how integration is progressing. It promotes the shared culture of cooperation.

The EMAG Group acquired the Heubach-based company "Heilig Automation" in 2001. In 2009, the ECM technology of the company Dorner was acquired. The company, renamed EMAG LaserTec GmbH in 2019, develops advanced laser welding and joining technologies with 185 employees. In contrast, the ECM Business Unit, integrated into the Heubach site in 2021 with 68 employees, develops ECM processes and corresponding machine solutions. The parent company, EMAG in Salach, with more than €550 million in revenue, is one of the largest machine tool manufacturers in Europe.
